HONORING INDIGENOUS PRACTICES
GEIA acknowledges that agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, and many other systems of sustainable living and growing are not new developments, but the precolonial way of life for many peoples. The emerging boom of regenerative agriculture is not a modern western creation, but a return to traditional knowledge. We stand against the white-washing of this movement and honor the peoples whose knowledge makes it possible.

GEIA believes there is more wealth to be made from regenerating the planet than there ever was in destroying it, and that that wealth belongs to us all. We believe that farmers, individual investors, organizational investors, and every person on this planet should have access to the wealth creation potential in carbon drawdown, biodiversity creation and regenerative agriculture.

Our current paradigm is built on an either/or model of benefit gained from extraction or destruction. GEIA believes that financial, human and environmental gain can be co-acheived in an and/and system, and works to tie economic wellness to climate wellness.
